PRESS RELEASE: ViM Berkshires Welcomes Two New Board Members

Great Barrington, Mass., June 17, 2024 — Volunteers in Medicine Berkshires (ViM Berkshires) is pleased to announce the addition of two distinguished members to its Board of Directors, Sharon Harrison, and Susan Ellen Wolf. These appointments, effective immediately, come as part of ViM Berkshires’ ongoing efforts to strengthen its board and expand its reach and impact within the community. 

 

About Sharon Harrison 

Sharon Harrison is an experienced business management professional with a record of accomplishment in transforming the organizations she has led and counseled into more effective, results-driven, and sustainable operations. As a senior executive in the nonprofit sector, Ms. Harrison has successfully led capital campaigns and marketing and communications programs which have led to transformational results.  Her work to improve the board committee structure, including the operation of all standing committees, has led to more aligned and efficient board engagement. Ms. Harrison currently serves as Business Administrator for the Berkshire Hills Regional School District and manages a $31 million operating, capital, and grant budget. Ms. Harrison will help guide ViM Berkshires through its next phase of growth and development. 

 

About Susan Ellen Wolf 

Susan Ellen Wolf is a retired corporate lawyer and governance consultant.  She served on the in-house legal teams at Schering-Plough (now Merck), The Coca-Cola Company, Delta Airlines, ConTel (now Verizon) and Constellation Energy (now Exelon). She founded Global Governance Consulting where her work included board and committee organization, board self-assessments, and optimizing C-suite interaction with directors.  She has served on many non-profit boards, including Temple University School of Medicine, Caldwell College, the Smithsonian Libraries, and Healthcare for the Homeless in Baltimore. Her background in corporate governance, coupled with her strong record of service to nonprofits, position her as a key asset to the board.
