If you contribute online, make a note under Additional Information. If you contribute by mail, just send a note along with your gift. We’ll take care of the rest.

Through a Donor Advised Fund
With a donor advised fund, or DAF, you receive an immediate tax deduction on your contributions while reserving the flexibility to recommend grants to ViM whenever it makes sense for you. You can make a one-time gift or set up a recurring donation. ViM’s Federal Tax ID is 90-0140004 and our official name is Volunteers in Medicine Berkshires, Inc.
Making a gift of appreciated securities lets you support ViM’s work while realizing important benefits for yourself. You can reduce or even eliminate federal capital gains taxes on the donation of appreciated securities or mutual funds you have held more than one year. You may also be entitled to a federal income tax charitable deduction based on the fair market value of the securities at the time of the transfer.
