Patient Services Coordinator

Primary responsibilities to include:

Interview and determine eligibility for incoming patients and inquiries

Review patient eligibility as appropriate

Schedule patient appointments with in-house providers

Provide back-up for reception desk when volunteer not available

Arrange external referral appointments as directed by the Care Coordinators

Secondary responsibilities to include, but not be limited to:

Make reminder calls for upcoming appointments

Provide case management and interpreter support for optometry, nutrition, acupuncture and other services as needed

Assist with interpretation as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

Near-native fluency in Spanish and English

College degree or equivalent work experience

Excellent people skills

High degree of comfort with use of computer programs

High integrity/confidentiality

Some knowledge of healthcare helpful

Interpretation training helpful

Reports to:

Office manager for eligibility and reception

Care coordinators for all else

Schedule:

Approximately 25 hours, 5 days per week. Actual times to be determined. Nonexempt position.
