2014 Chef’s Dinner at Wheatleigh
VIM Chef’s Dinner took place on Monday, June 2nd, at Wheatleigh in Lenox, MA.
It was not only one of VIM’s annual fund-raising events, but the first occasion to celebrate the 10th anniversary of its existence. The stunning Wheatleigh Hotel in Lenox, MA, provided a beautiful backdrop to this special evening. The event was chaired, once again, by Vicki Bonnington (Photo: Vicki Bonnington and David Schecker, by Amy Krzanik of Rural Intelligence) with the help of her committee: Mara Handy, Catherine Mandel and Marion Simon.
Wheatleigh, one of many Berkshire Cottages, was built by Henry H. Cook and given to his daughter, Georgie, as a wedding gift when she married Count Carlos de Heredia.
Upon their arrival, guests were treated to canapes and wines selected especially for the occasion by Ed Domaney of Domaney’s Liquors and Fine Wines, served on the terrace so all could enjoy the day’s glorious weather. Howard Lieberman generously provided a musical interlude at the piano.
After cocktails, attendees enjoyed a spectacular four-course meal in the beautiful Wheatleigh dining room and conservatory, prepared under the direction of Chef Jeffrey Thompson.
VIM thanks everyone involved for making this evening such a successful fundraiser. The event was sold-out weeks before its date, with several people on a waiting list. For more photos visit Rural Intelligence.
