Volunteer

Volunteers are the heart of VIM Berkshires their gift is inherent in our name. Physicians, nurses, dentists, and other medical personnel and lay people are vital to our success. If you are interested in volunteering, please see our Volunteer page.

  • Medical personnel are needed to share their extensive training and wisdom gleaned from experience:
    Retired or active physicians
    Nurse practitioners
    Physicians Assistants
    Nurses
    Dentists
    Dental Assistants
    Dental Hygienists
    Mental Health Specialists
    Pharmacists
    Certified medical interpreters
    Specialists who would take pro bono referrals from us

Lay personnel are needed:

  • Front desk people register patients, answer the phone, enter patient data into the computer, make appointment reminder calls, and other related tasks.
  • Patient intake people interview patients, inform patients of eligibility guidelines, complete required forms and other related tasks.
  • Bilingual volunteers are greatly appreciated.  Our biggest need is for Spanish/English speakers, but on occasion we have a need for other languages.
